New Tweeterhead Super Powers Statue Teased

Published

on

Tweeterhead has taken upon themselves to try and make me part with some of my money.  I love DC Comics statues and I love the classic Super Powers toy line.  Mix those two and you have something special!

The first few statues from this line that are scheduled to be released, kind of had me scratching my head because they were not from the original Super Powers line.  Tweeterhead uses the original Super Powers logo when marketing these, but Harley Quinn and Supergirl were never part of the original toy line.

We know from San Diego Comic-Con 2017 that The Joker and Wonder Woman are coming up for the line.

Today though, the sculptor of these fantastic pieces, Paul Harding revealed the next statue that he is working on.  This will be very familiar to classic Super Powers fans.  Say hello to Steppenwolf!

Paul Harding revealed the image on his Facebook page a few minutes ago.  Steppenwolf has had a few costumes in various different DC Comics media, but this particular was the costume featured in the classic Super Powers toy line!  Kudos to Tweeterhead and Paul Harding for choosing this look for this line.

Currently there is no word on a release date or pricing, as this is in the very early stages of sculpting, don’t expect that information any time soon.  It is nice to know that this is in development though!

Official Look at Tweeterhead DC Super Powers Collection Supergirl Statue

Published

on

We showed you the teaser for this piece a few days ago, and now we have official images of the Tweeterhead DC Super Powers Collection – Supergirl Statue. Supergirl is part of Tweeterhead’s new DC Super Powers Collection and will be on display at San Diego comic-Con 2017. Pre-orders are set to go live tomorrow via Tweeterhead.com.

For those ordering directly from Tweeterhead, you will also get an exclusive Streaky the Supercat. This extra will only be available when ordering directly from their site. The statue is 16.5″ tall for those looking for space on their shelves.

As you remember, I was fond of using the name Super Powers because the first statue out of the gate was Harley Quinn, who wasn’t even around during that time.  However, this statue looks great, and is more indicative of that time period.

Pre-Sale begins Tuesday, July 18th at Noon PST!!

The Tweeterhead exclusive includes Streaky, the Supercat and is priced the SAME as the regular edition.

She is 16.5 inches high on her cloud base and will retail for $249.99.

** The ONLY place to get Streaky is in our exclusive **

Concept Design: Jose Garcia Lopez

A Look at the Upcoming Tweeterhead Supergirl Maquette

Published

on

Tweeterhead has just announced another entry to their DC Maquettes – Supergirl. The famous cousin of Superman will be available soon through Sideshow. The Supergirl Maquette will be available for pre-order Tuesday, July 18 between Noon and 3PM (Pacific Time), so check back for more updates!

As you can see from the image below, this one will be based on the classic 70’s look of the character.  This particular costume only stayed around a few years, basically the last half of the 70’s.  It still makes for one heck of a statue though!

Check out the teaser image below!
